Acapella Duet Vibratory PEP Therapy System

Manufactured by Smiths Medical, the Acapella Duet presents a convenient and intelligent approach to combining vibratory Positive Expiratory Pressure (PEP) therapy with nebulized medication delivery. Equipped with a one-way inspiratory valve, patients can inhale without the need for removal from their mouth. The Portex Acapella Duet also incorporates an expiratory resistance dial, enabling personalized frequency adjustments.

To enhance patient comfort, the device includes a 22-millimeter Outer Diameter (O.D.) connection, accommodating the use of a mouthpiece or mask. Furthermore, the Portex features a 22-millimeter port compatible with most standard Small Volume Nebulizers (SVNs). The SVN port is equipped with a tethered cap, reducing the risk of contamination in a resting position. The Portex's design is standalone, allowing it to operate without an SVN attachment. Its remarkably lightweight construction makes it easy for patients to handle. Overall, the Portex Acapella Duet Kit is ideal for administering bronchodilator and mucolytic treatments in conjunction with vibratory PEP therapy, eliminating the need for a tee adapter.
